37 High Street is a brick building completed before 1886, though the property records say 37 High Street was completed in 1900. It’s New Haven’s High Street, in the heart of the Chapel West district just off Yale’s Old Campus. Today it operates as a rooming house for ten Yale students and the current home of the DKE fraternity. Still, for much of the twentieth century it was owned outright by the Yale Hillel community, a history that the building’s current use as student housing quietly continues.
