1060 State Street, New Haven, CT

Most of the buildings at 1060 State Street when Olivia Wheeler researched the building have been taken down and this is now the site of the Corsair Apartments. The red-brick structure at the intersection of State, Lawrence, and Mechanic is a remnant of Forsyth's steam laundry.

This had been the site of the MB Manufacturing Co. that made airplane parts, occupying an elegant Art Deco style building in 1939 with sandstone relief sculptures that ornamented the facade.

Ochsner and Sons Company, machinists, built at this site in 1902 and stayed until 1936. Their architect was C.E. Berger.
